Words of affirmation.
Don't believe me? Our brains accept what we tell them. If those thoughts are negative, we become self-fulfilling prophecies.
Change your brain. Words of affirmation. You are enough.
It takes time. But, say these words of positive affirmation over and over and over until you begin to finally see the truth about yourself and believe it.
I was taught this necessary and vital lesson by some incredible women.
And how do I know this is vital and necessary?
Because I sat with a 13 year-old girl a few weeks ago, a girl who was struggling with friendships, with body image, with self-esteem, and her pain hit me hard because I knew those feelings. I had been in her shoes. Who hasn't?
So I held her hands and I whispered those words to her that had been gently spoken to me by wise, wise, wonderful women (thank the Creator for strong, kind, supportive women - we need each other so): You are enough.
Wouldn't it be nice if all our 13 year-old selves had been told this? If we had started those positive affirmations early in life?
It's never too late.
I am what?
Enough. Good. Kind. Peaceful. Content. Capable. Worthy. Beautiful. Vibrant.
Fill in the blank: I am ___________________________.
YOU ARE. Whatever words you used above, you are those good and positive things.
Be kind and be good to yourself. Cultivate self-love through positive affirmations. You are worth it.
And feel free to download the image above to print out as a reminder or set it as your desktop background.
Blessings to you, my friends on this lovely Saturday.
