A weekly series of images I shoot to reflect what I'm grateful for.
Thankful for gorgeous monsoon thunderheads at sunset.
Thankful for Harvest Moons and the coming of cooler weather.
Simple beauty in what's right in front of me.
Early morning alarms that get me out of bed to witness this.
Light that looks like this.
Always and forever, Chevy trucks. I won't lie - this truck makes me feel like a total beast. I want to run over everything in it. Thus far, I have refrained from doing so, but I entertain the thought often. And burn out. I want to do burn outs everywhere. I've resisted that urge too.
And the pups -
When Bishop (on right) makes that face and Iris is patiently bored when I insist on taking their pictures.
When I can't get all three to look at the camera (p.s. Middy - far left - is convinced that the camera is going to steal her soul so she always looks sad/greatly concerned/skeptical in most of her photos.)
When all three dogs finally look at the camera at the same time. Huzzah! Forget that they aren't all in focus.
When, at the last moment, Middy starts to lurch forward instead of sitting like she's supposed to so that she can beat the other two to the treats I have in my hand.
Overall, I'm pretty dang grateful to have these three dogs in my life and the laughter they bring. Dogs are good, good souls. They make my life better.
