Dear Little Sweet Pea (we changed your nickname because it suits you better),
You are nearly 20 pounds of love.
I adore you.
You smile and laugh and kick your chunky legs and delight in being alive because what could be better?
Your fluff of hair reminds me of a happy little baby bird.
You grin with delight when watching your brother and Tug.
Sweet Pea, you are such a happy baby. Holding you fills my heart with content. You make me sure there is good left in this world.
You are our green baby burrito because you still love to be swaddled, but you hardly fit the blanket anymore.
My knuckles are your favorite teething ring.
You are already so expressive. Your right eyebrow arches comically when you eye yourself in the mirror.
You hold tight to your mamma's fingers and giggle at your daddy. You swivel your head side to side in an effort to take it all in.
Watching you reminds me of what joy really is - family, gentleness, laughter, delight in small things, keen observation.
I love you so much, Sweet Pea. So much. You bring so much joy to our lives.
All my love for always,
