i am thankful for connection. to other mummas, to other spiritual explorers, to other artists, to family and to friends, to every relationship that provides the mirror for me to see my own strengths and my own weaknesses, to nature, to myself, to my Self.
i am thankful for recognition. recognition of what makes me powerful, of what trips me up, of all of the good that surrounds me.
i am deeply thankful for love. oh, always love. in every single way that it shows up.
i am thankful for my horses. i found the following quote that nails my life long love of horses: "i was a boy, and i believed deeply in the sightedness of horses. i believed that there was nothing that they did not witness. i believed that to have a horse between my legs, to extend my pulse and blood and energy to theirs, enhanced my vision. made of me a seer. i believed them to be the dappled, sorrel, roan, bay, black pupils in the eyes of god." - mark spragg.
i am thankful for the power of choice. being able to choose how i move, react and engage in this life.
i am thankful for the quiet solitude of nature and spaces outside the city.
i am thankful for my boys. two wildly different brothers that could not be more perfect to me.
i am thankful for the warmth of the sun.
i am thankful, and deeply relieved, at every winter's end.
i am thankful for the trials and hard times i've faced. each experience has provided me with a new perspective, a deeper gratitude and a heightened awareness of how good the good really is.
i am thankful.
truly, there is so much beauty in each and every single moment. who am i to not bow in deep reverence to it all and offer my humble and heartfelt gratitude?
