Sweet Fjóla. She's a gem. Another sweet soul that I met because of The Define School. (How fortunate am I to have met all these amazing women? Very.) I admire her so - her guts and her courage to live a life that is true, authentic to her, and following her intuition all the way. Her journey has been one of a beautiful unfolding and I find it so inspiring.
And her words and her beautiful images of everyday thankfuls moved me so. Especially this: "...the chance to sit down and write [these] down, for confirming to me how good my life is."
Wow. Yes. So much of all of this.
And isn't that beautiful? Finding the good even among the difficulties of life?
If we look, the good will be there.
You blessed me deeply, with you words and your post, Fjóla. Thank you.
I truly believe that being thankful is what gives life true meaning so Ashley’s blog got to me and ever since she asked me to do this I have been thinking about it. There are so many “things” to be thankful for. Of course we are all thankful for the important people in our lives, the close ones, like our partners, children, parents, siblings, best friends… but then there are the little things and little moments that some people are so unfortunate to not being able to cherish and thank for. These little moments make our week, these moments make our everyday and these moments, if cherished are the moments that really give life life. I was lucky enough to have some beautiful and meaningful moments this week that I am so grateful for.
I am thankful for my closest family; parents, sister, brother and the children they have given us.
I am thankful for my daughter who shows me her passion for dancing every single day. I am in awe of her.
I am thankful for my man and his endless support he shows me every single day in my quest.
I am thankful for having the chance to share my best friend’s big day with her.
I am thankful for my gorgeous friends who challenge me by being on my mind when I need to challenge myself and for hiking up a mountain with me.
I am thankful for the beautiful view from my balcony.
I am thankful for living so far north that I get to have sun until 11pm these days.
I am thankful for the quiet moments I had with myself.
I am thankful for my own 2 feet which enable me to go out and run.
I am thankful to Ashley for giving me the chance to sit down and write this down, for confirming to me how good my life is.
